The Pride Basketball League NYC (PBLNYC) holds General Elections for our Board of Directors at our Annual Meeting.
The Annual Meeting is open to the public and can be attended by all. Anyone may nominate themselves and campaign for a position on the Board of Directors. They need not be a current player in the PBLNYC or attend the Annual Meeting to be elected.
Applicants shall submit their interest in applying for a Board position to the Committee at least 7 days prior to the Annual Meeting by sending an email to elections@pridebasketballnyc.org with the following information:
1) Name
2) Email address
3) Statement of Candidacy*
4) Position of Interest
*A Statement of Candidacy is a paragraph explaining why you wish to run and what you hope to accomplish as a member of the Board of Directors.
All candidates must be 18 years of age by the date of the Annual Meeting at which they hope to be elected. Candidates are not required to play in the league; however, they must exhibit a general and active interest in the organization.
